A Community Program
Adopt a Cow
A lasting connection to one female in the Okmok herd.
The Program
Adopt a Cow is a one-time $1,000 sponsorship, plus a small monthly app fee, lasting for the cow's entire commercial lifetime — approximately 8 to 10 years. The sponsorship helps pay for her GPS halter and its yearly subscription.
This is not a product with financial utility. It is a community-driven way to build a personal connection with something sacred to us: the animals that eventually become our food, in an industry too often stripped of that connection.
Name Your Cow
Each sponsorship is connected to one female from the managed herd. Your name for her becomes the name shown in the Okmok app.
Follow Her Journey
See her real-time location through her GPS halter, and receive updates on pregnancy, calving, and weaning throughout her commercial lifetime.
Share the Story
Your cow’s updates can be shared directly to social media, bringing a real piece of Umnak Island to the community following along.
Proof of Sponsorship
Each sponsor receives a unique, non-replicable NFT as proof of sponsorship. It may be sold or traded, but it is never duplicated.
